Lecture 28: Wave interference

Objectives: In this lecture, students will learn to

• analyze superposition of waves
• construct standing waves
• analyze waves on a string with two fixed ends
• interpret frequency selection as a boundary problem
• relate fundamental frequency of waves on a string to properties of the string
• analyze interference of waves from two sources
• apply interference concepts to example problems
